Suffer the Little Children

When “Good Morning America” recently showcased eleven-year-old “drag queen,” Desmond Napoles, and celebrated him as “amazing” and “inspiring” I had to wonder if host Michael Strahan could taste the fetid dirt on these, his own words.

Have we lost our minds, people?

I mean, I can’t even sit with my eighteen-year-old son in the lounge at the local Red Robin Restaurant–no one under 21 in the bar area, even when accompanied by a parent. (I keep telling them that Jakob hasn’t thrown food in seventeen years, but they won’t budge.)

But this…really?

Turns out, Desmond has marched in New York’s Gay Pride Parade at the ripe old age of eight AND has been entertaining grown men in gay nightclubs for some time as well.

Besides the fact that as a minor performing in gay bars, he is fueling the fantasies of pervs, I am also concerned about what the boy has witnessed in these places.

And sadly, Desmond isn’t alone out there.

Canada’s 10 year-old drag queen, Nemis Quinn Melacon-Golden AKA Queen Lactacia has also made headlines. He was photographed with a naked man in a photo shoot for Huck Magazine.

Ugh. Why is this okay? Why are we normalizing pedophilia? Why are we turning a blind eye to child pornography?

Would it be acceptable for an eleven-year-old girl to dress in a sexually provocative manner and perform in strip clubs because she likes to dance?

Would it be okay for a scantily-clad pre-pubescent girl to pose with a naked man for a  magazine spread?

But you know, since the GMA interview revealed how Desmond’s mother is Parent-of-the-Year because she won’t even let him have caffeine, well then, everything is A-OK. At least we know the kid’s not hyped up on Mountain Dew when he’s shaking his money maker for the dollar bills thrown his way.

As a long-time educator and the mother of three grown sons, I know that there’s a physiological reason for the age of consent: a young person’s frontal lobe is not fully developed until he or she is in the early twenties. The frontal lobe controls judgement (among other things.)

That means, a child cannot give his consent before reaching the age of majority because he doesn’t have the capacity to see around corners. This is almost verbatim from Dr. Phil–not me.

So instead of trotting the kid out on GMA and other media outlets, this parent should be under investigation by social services.

And if mama can’t figure out that “parent” is a verb and not just a noun, then he should be removed from the home.

Yes, I’m aware my position is seen as cultural heresy. But I answer to a higher authority.

Those who promote the now pervasive LGBTQ agenda often stake out high moral ground as they cherry-pick the Bible about love and tolerance.

But the Bible is pretty cut and dried about sin. And children, too. God’s children. Matthew 18 tells us:

5 And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.

6 “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

7 Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!

Still, maybe you don’t buy into the authority of the Bible.

In that case, here’s a more earthly authority:
